Timetable / Plan for NRMP Match 2012
# Before Checking Out the plan lets make sure we have the right context with

A'ight ! Here are the dates you should keep in mind while planning your steps
July 2011:
# Both USMLE Step 1 and USMLE Step 2 CK should be taken BEFORE the end of
July 2011
# Project back Four Months of Prep time EACH for Step 1 and Step 2 CK
# It will take around 4 week for Step 1 and Step 2 Ck Results to be
Electronically Reported
# Register For The Step 2 CS as Early as you Can - Read here Why
# Try your Best to Take the Step 2 CS BEFORE August 2011
# Purchase ERAS Token online by 1st July to get AAMC ID
# Documents for Match must reach ERAS-ECFMG for scanning by July End - or
esle the big waiting line will delay your scanning making delaying your application
August 2011:
# As I said above, Documents for Match should have reached for scanning
before the start of August 2011
# AND Application Season will Start on 1st September 2011

# Mid-Feb: Rank Order List (ROL) Submission by Both Candidates and Residency
Programs
# ECFMG Certifiation is a MUST BEFORE ROL Submission deadline - Read ECFMG
certificate basics
# You need not have physical ECFMG certificate in hand - but you should meet
all requirements before ROL submission - but aim for 1st week of Februrary
to be on the safe side
March 2012:
# Match Results will be Declared by Mid-March
# Post Match Scramble for Two Days after the Match - Read Post-Match
Residency Scramble Basics
March To June 2012:
# Matched Candidates should Start and Complete Visa Processing if needed
# Also fix-up a Car + Driving License and a Place to Stay during this period
1st July 2012:
# Residency Begins after intial 1-2 weeks of Orientation and ACLS + BLS
training
